When I hear people talking about analog sound, they are usually referring to music stored on vinyl. And that makes sense, since vinyl is an extremely popular medium for storing music. However, things aren’t quite that simple. In 99.9% of cases, we should actually be referring to music that has been recorded and stored on magnetic tape.
