Τα σχεδιαστικά στοιχεία του Bathys κληρονομήθηκαν από τα ανοικτού και κλειστού τύπου ακουστικά της Focal. Το Clear Mg Professional είναι το απαραίτητο ζευγάρι ακουστικών για απαιτητικούς μηχανικούς ήχου και  μουσικούς παραγωγούς. Για να εξοπλίσουν αυτά τα ακουστικά ανοιχτού τύπου με 40 mm οδηγούς ηχείων πλήρης εμβέλειας με ανεστραμμένους θόλους σε σχήμα Μ, οι μηχανικοί της Focal σχεδίασαν ένα νέο υλικό : Κώνος μαγνησίου.
