Shanling has equipped the UA1s with an ES9219C high-performance 32-bit DAC chipset from ESS Sabre Technologies. The device decodes high-resolution PCM(up to 32-bit/384kHz) and Native DSD256 audio signals. It not only supports their decoding but also handles it amazingly well providing crisp high-resolution output with lower distortion and a cleaner noise-free background. With the help of in-house developed FPGA audio architecture, you get to experience a great improvement over the UA1 Pro.

UA1s has got interchangeable connector cable. With standard Type-C connector type, the connector cable can be replaced easily whenever required. If you want to your the UA1s on your desktop, you can simply replace the short stock Type-C connector cable with a long cable from your collection. It also supports Apple iOS devices with lightning connector cables(available separately). As for headphone output, the UA1s houses a standard 3.5mm single-ended output port.
